Emmanuel Missions
Young Life is a worldwide non-profit with programs available in North Durham for teens in grades 6-12. We’re all about relationships; ones that start with meeting teens where they’re at, caring for them, and sharing the Christian faith in simple and understandable terms with no strings attached. WyldLife (Grades 6-8) takes place every other Friday, and Young Life (Grades 9-12) takes place every Thursday. Both programs are for all teens no matter who they are, what they believe, or what they’ve done.
Update
Our Young Life group in North Durham has seen an increase of new faces! We have 2 new male leaders, a returning female leader, and 2 new 'buddies'! (Buddies are volunteers who work specifically with our teens who need extra support). We also have had the chance to welcome new teens to our weekly programs, and are praising God for a great turn out to our recent events. Being able to reach teens through the fun of games, the excitement of special events like our halloween trip to Coopers 10 Acre Corn Maze, as well as sharing the gospel each week. Our conversations lately have had a focus on the misconceptions of Jesus, and the truth about who He really is! We ended off our fall semester with a Christmas party and sharing the story of how Jesus was born!
WyldLife has had a wonderful semester, lots of new kids have come to check out our program and we have had the joy of helping a few of them reach out and invite their friends to our weekly program! We are so thankful and praise God for the gift that it is to have a full leader team for WyldLife this past semester.
